The two victims were ejected from the crane boom after the Metromover car crashed into it. Both were wearing safety equipment at the time of the accident, according to rescuers. 

“(There’s) not enough safety (and) not enough experts looking at what needs to be done for safety”  

I would most certainly agree with this statement.  While these men were not engaged in specifically entertainment related tasks, this is a time and place that riggers and industry professionals would be engaged in Production, TV, Film, Publicity Signage.  Note that it was not their fault; it was an external factor outside of their control that caused the accident.  Hence the need for competent ground crews anytime riggers are up in the air.
