Lipman, Ryan Robert
was born at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix Arizona on December 30, 1983. He graduated from Estrella High School in 2002. Ryan’s dream of entering military service was unable to be realized as he was diagnosed at age 13 with Type I diabetes, however after trying his hand at many jobs Ryan found his calling in the very highest places of arenas, stages, and buildings as a rigger and worked for several staging production companies. He earned the respect of his peers, and the nickname “Scrappy” for persistently expressing his undying belief that his views were just and true. Ryan fell while doing what he loved when his blood sugar suddenly and unexpectedly dropped to critical levels and he passed away on January 14th, 2015 from his injuries. He will be painfully missed by his mother and step-father Patricia Avery-Schuster and Robert Schuster, Goodyear, AZ, father Lawrence G. Lipman, Jr (Debbie) Huntington Beach, CA, sister Jennifer Lipman (Kevin Hubler) Goodyear, AZ, brother Lawrence (Trey) G. Lipman, III (Megan) Phoenix, AZ, adored niece and nephew, Makennah and Brayden Hubler, aunt Jacqueline (Avery) Miller (Michael) Phoenix, uncles Michael Lipman (Michelle Bibeau) Phoenix, and Scott Lipman (Avan) Phoenix. Ryan is also survived by his cousins Kari and Craig Lipman Phoenix, Christopher Miller (Melinda) Peoria, and Sean Miller, Phoenix, and by many dear cousins, relatives, friends, and co-workers across the rigging industry. Ryan was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert Lynn and Mary Virginia (Schaefer) Avery, and Mary Elizabeth (Carroll) and Lawrence G. Lipman, Sr. A candlelight vigil was held for Ryan on January 16th with over 200 in attendance at University of Phoenix Stadium where the accident had taken place. A commemorative service was held on January 24th at A.L. Grimshaw-Moore Mortuary and a celebration of his life followed at a family residence. Ryan’s entire family is thankful for the incredible outpouring of love and support shown to us during this time of loss and grief.
