as the crew was dismantling the stage, a 26-year-old stagehand fell 20 meters (that’s approximately 65 feet) directly onto Marvin P. The 26 year old survived the fall with serious injuries but sadly Marvin died at the scene. Crew members are still unsure why the initial fall happened and noted than an expert will try to “reconstruct the accident.” 19-year-old stagehand identified as Marvin P.
the victim’s name is Mukesh Dakia, aged 34. According to him, the man was a painter, and was working on the making of a set in Film City. He fell from a height of five feet on head while painting. He was declared dead by Kokilaben hospital on Friday. The Accidental Death Report (ADR) was registered in Aarey Police Station, and investigation is on.
Shrivastav said: “These days, producers and directors of big productions spend considerably, but do not take care of workers who toil hard. Just like an actor is taken care of on the sets, there should be a facility of ambulance, safety belt and safety cap and other safety measures taken for the benefit of the workers who toil on the sets.”
